Hangover IV Drip: What's Inside and How Fast It Works
A hangover is mostly dehydration and an electrolyte deficit caused by alcohol. An IV drip replenishes both faster than drinking water and taking pills ever could.
The base mix usually includes saline or Ringer's solution, B vitamins, and medication for nausea or headache if needed. The doctor adjusts the mix based on your symptoms during the check-up.
Improvement is usually noticeable during the procedure or right after: the headache eases, nausea drops, your head clears up. A full session takes 40 minutes to an hour and a half.
One thing to note: a drip relieves symptoms, it doesn't "flush out" alcohol instantly — the liver processes it at its own pace regardless. But you'll feel noticeably better and ready to get back to your day.
